General Information About Wpparallax

Thank you for choosing our theme. We are happy that you are one of our clients and we assure you won’t be disappointed as well. We do our best to produce top notch themes with great functionality, premium designs and human readable code. Before you get started we highly encourage you to get familiar with this documentation file. You can create unlimited homepage sections with prebuilt layouts.The theme is fully based on customizer so that you can create your site with live preview.All the options were userfriendly and easy to setup.

If you have any questions that are beyond the scope of this help file, please feel free to post your questions on our support forum.

PLEASE NOTICE! Our support covers getting setup, trouble using any features, and any bug fixes that may arise. Unfortunately we cannot provide support for customizations or 3rd party plugins for free. If you need help with customizations of your theme then you should enlist the help of our professional team.

WordPress Information

To use this theme you must have WordPress installed. We assume you have a working version of WordPress already up and running.

Installation

You can install the theme in two ways: via FTP:

  • Log into your web server with FTP client software
  • Unzip the wpparallax.X.X.X.zip(X denotes version no) file
  • Upload the extracted theme folder into /wp-content/themes folder
  • Activate the newly installed theme. Go to Appearance > Themes and activate it.

via WordPress:

  • Login to admin panel.
  • Go to Appearance – Themes and click on the Add New button.
  • Choose Upload theme option. Click on Browse…(Choose file in Safari/Chrome), select the wpparallax.X.X.X.zip” (X denotes version no) and click in Install Now button.
  • After successfull installation click on Activate or go to Appearance – Themes and click on Activate to activate the newly installed theme.

Choose Static Front page

  • You need to create a page with home template.
  • Then go to your dashboard > settings > reading and choose static front page.

Configuring the theme settings

Wpparallax is fully customizer based theme so you can configure all the theme settings from your Dashboard > Appearance > Customize with live preview.

General settings

  • Go to customize > General settings > Site Identity
  • Choose the site logo for your site.
  • Go to customize > General Settings > Homepage Animation
  • Choose enable or disable for homepage animation

Header Settings

  • Go to Customize > Header Settings > Top Header Settings.
  • Enable or disable the top header area.
  • Enter the contact information for the top header left site.
  • Énter your social media URL(Leave blank if you do not want the social icons in the left side).
  • Go to Customize > Header Settings > Button Header Settings.
  • Choose Primary Or Parallax menu.(You can create a primary menu from your dashboard > appearance > menu and there is option to add menu texts in homepage sections for parallax menu)
  • Choosing the parallax menu makes your site single page parallax scrolling site with single page nav menu.

Homepage sections

You can create a unlimited homepage sections from the customizer pannel.There are some prebuilt layouts for the homepage sections such as about,service,portfolio,testimonials,blog etc.Also you can make your own custom design with page builder.The recommended plugin is page builder by site origin and you can create any layouts for your homepage.

You must create a unique page for your homepage sections.Each sections must have a uniqueue page.The page title will be your section title and the content will be the section contents.If you choose prebuilt layouts then you will get the prebuilt section designs for your homepage.you need to create a category and assign posts into that category.Then choose that category for the homepage section layouts.

The theme is also woocommerce compatible.So you can add the shop page in your homepage sections.You need to create a page for shop section then add this on that page content.

For Contact map ,you need to create a contact page and add the google map iframe in the page content.Then choose that page for map section and choose Google map layout.

Also there is a homepage section widget so that you can add the homepage section layouts to your inner pages.If you want your inner pages as the homepage then you need to choose wpparallax layout while creating the page. After choosing the layout you can add the homepage section widget(Wpparallax section) to that page with the help of page builder plugin.

  • Go to your dashboard > pages > add new.
  • Choose page builder for your page content.
  • Click on add row then set row layout to 1.
  • Click on add widget then choose wpparallax section widget.
  • Now you can configure the widget as like the homepage sections.

Inner Page Settings

Archive Settings

  • Go to Customize > Archive Settings.
  • Choose the archive page layout.
  • Enter the excerpt length(It helps to limit the content length for archive posts).

Page/Post Layouts

  • You can have option to choose the page/post layout while creating the page or post.
  • You can choose either Left sidebar, Right sidebar, Without sidebar or Both sidebar
  • Right sidebar will be choosen as default sidebar if you do not choose any sidebars.
  • You can add the widgets in left and right sidebars from your dashboard > appearance > widgets.
